Roland Plumbing Industries Inc.
Hello! My name is Jeff Roland and welcome to Roland Plumbing.
We at Roland Plumbing Industries, Inc. (RPI) have been servicing DeKalb County and the surrounding counties since 1996. Our officeand shop are located at 28135 Brickville Rd. in Sycamore, IL.
With the help of great employees, both past and present.
My wife Linda and our security team, we at RPI have completed over 600 new homes. With four generations of licensed plumbers since 1954 starting with my grandfather, G W Roland then my father, Ross Roland , in 1956.
In 1978 my brother Terry and I became licensed plumbers. Also, my brother, Kenny in 1986 was licensed. Currently, the fourth generation for RPI (I am very proud to say) is my daughter Carshon in 2010; also two of my sons, Troy who is ready to take his State test and Blare who is in his third year of apprenticeship. Hopefully in 2021 my grandchildren will carry on the 5th generation.
Majority of our work has been done in the Cities of DeKalb and Sycamore.
We have worked as far away as Dixon, Ashton, Hinckley, Genoa, Kingston, Kirkland, Burr Ridge, Round Lake Beach, Rockford, Paw Paw and Benton Harbor, Michigan.
What we do and provide:
We take pride in all aspects of the plumbing trade.
We have the trucks, equipment, subcontractors and suppliers to handle all your plumbing needs. Our shop and trucks are inventoried to handle the demands of today.
All our employees, past and present, are taught to do things right and to treat our customers with the respect they deserve. To sell our customers what they only need or ask for, and to give our customers the best job possible at the lowest price. My motto is: To treat people the way I want to be treated. Not to just put $$$ into my pocket such as; if a sump pump just needs a switch, don’t sell them a new pump at enormous profits.
What is a plumber?
I believe in the Illinois State Plumbing codes and requirements. The code protects you and your family. Any person performing any type of plumbing must be licensed by the State no matter how small the job. Not just because they have a “plumbers butt”. A maintenance contractor or a handyman, cannot even advertise plumbing if they do not have both a plumber and contractor licenses. Even a licensed plumber cannot contract work, or do side work, if they don’t have a contractor’s license.
You as the customer have the right to ask your plumber to see his plumber license and also ask your plumbing contractor to see his contractor license, which is required by the State of Illinois. This contractor license shows proof that the contractor has all the necessary insurances to run a plumbing company. A licensed plumber from any other State can’t perform plumbing in Illinois unless they carry an Illinois license. An apprentice plumber, even though licensed by the State, must have a minimum 24 months of time in before working by himself.
After that all work done by that licensed apprentice must be checked out by a licensed plumber. This is law, and when caught doing plumbing illegally charges and fines will apply, just like breaking any other law in the State of Illinois. There are many qualified plumbing contractors in DeKalb County that I would recommend if for some reason I cannot handle your job. Also there are the other companies that will send out their HVAC or electrical employees or handymen to do plumbing. Always hire a licensed contractor and don’t be afraid to ask for their license’s to protect your home or business.
